As a result of a project to map the UK oil and gas supply chain, Oil & Gas UK this week released two reports. The first report: the economic contribution of the UK upstream oil and gas supply chain shows that the UK supply chain is a £35 billion industry, based on 2012 figures from businesses registered with Companies House.

According to a research by Bank of Scotland, which conducted a survey of 100 companies, the UK oil and gas sector could generate up to 39,000 new jobs in the next two years.
The C-Power wind farm, also known as the Thornton Bank offshore wind farm, was running at full speed in December, January and February and produced 29% more energy than expected.
